Travel Medical Insurance

Applicants must provide proof of travel medical insurance covering the full time of their intended visit. The insurance must be valid throughout the territory of the Member States. The minimum cover shall be EUR 30,000.

The insurance has to cover any expenses, which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention and/or emergency hospital treatment or death.
As a general rule, insurance should be taken out in the country of residence. Where it is not possible it can be obtained in any other country.

Kindly be advised that travel medical insurance policy terms and conditions cannot limit the coverage of medical expenses or emergency care based on age, resulting in coverage below the minimum requirement. Please note that failure to provide adequate travel medical insurance will delay the processing of your visa application.
